We want to announce the second Horror Animation Short Film Kids’ Session within the frame of the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival. The last edition was attended by 140 girls and boys aged 6-12 who packed the Sala Gòtica in Molins de Rei. This year the session will take place at Teatre La Peni on Saturday the 12 of November.
With this line of action, our organisation is paying special attention to emotion based culture and education. Audiovisual media are essential sources of knowledge, thought, and enjoyment. This way, watching short films contributes to learning, thinking and having a good time with horror. In our opinion, we can educate horror feelings through horrific experiences. Being able to control feelings helps us to realize when we might start being reckless in front of dangerous situations; or when we get blocked because we are too scared. We encourage you to work upon controlling emotions.
We are calling you again for the second edition of a Kids’ Session packed with new issues. This time we will be having a double session: one for 6-9 year-old children and another one for 10-12 year-old kids because we have been listening the latter’s suggestion that some short films were too childish. Therefore, this year, we’ll be offering a good handful of short films especially selected for these two age groups.
Saturday, November 12th at 5 pm. Six to Nine Year-Old Kids’ session.
Saturday, November 12th at 6 pm. Older Kids’ Session (10-12 year-olds).
A further new issue is that this year’s session will be devoted to the local association Gueopic, an association aimed at helping and improving the life standards of people with communicative disabulities. We are going to donate them all the funds raised with this activity. This is the reason why we are asking you to contribute with 1 euro per attendant.
