The Girl With All The Gifts, premièred in the UK last September 23rd 2016, will reach our audiences tomorrow Friday 3rd of February 2017.
This wonderful zombie film, based in the eponymous novel written by Mike Carey in 2014, was present in the latest edition of the Molins Horror Film Festival along with its zombie peer Train to Busan, in our Official Selection. Although it is true that the latter had great audience and reviews success and broke audience records in Korea, it does not mean that The Girl With All The Gifts does not deserve the any attention. On the contrary, the film introduces a really interesting concept and, without any doubt, it is an outstanding example of genre film; a genre in which we see more and more human features and less monstrous nonsense.
Colm McCarthy (Outcast, Endeavort) front man of this project, along with the author of the novel himself. So, readers will not be disappointed when watching the pages of this zombie novel represented on the big screen. A story that, again, sets humankind in danger in front of the threatening and incurable virus that makes people mad with a single objective: eat flesh.
“Our greatest threat is our only hope.”
Zombie cinema is rising, and no good horror film fan can miss this feature film. It is true that the film has arrived in our country a few months late. However, if you were not able to watch the screening in our Festival, you will have now the chance to watch The Girl with all the Gifts. You won’t regret it.
