The news today is that a crowdfunding campaign has started out at the Verkami platform in order to raise funds for the short film Gotas, director Sergio Morcillo’s new project.
The short-film triggers at showing a new vision of psychological thrillers by merging the audience’s sensations and feelings through colours and light. The film is focused in the universal plot concerning the evolution from adolescence to adulthood and its consequences.
Gotas will be added to the list of successful titles that this young director from Madrid has produced so far: Tus gritos me dan risa , Metamorphose or his latest work You’re Gonna Die Tonight which we were able to watch at the Festival’s 2016 edition and which is still collecting big success and selections in different festivals.
Synopsis of Gotas
Marta is a teenager whose parents died two years ago. One night, being alone at home, she will find out the truth about the pain that is tormenting her life.
The film will be shot next July and the objective is premiering the it at the beginning of October in order to begin its journey through festivals round the world. The Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival wishes the best of lucks to Sergio and his team with this new and upsetting project.
