Cutterhead, by Rasmus Kloster Bro. Molins Film Festival opening film
It is a pleasure for us to announce that the 37th edition of the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival will open the Festival on November 9 with the Spanish premiere of the film Cutterhead by the Danish director Rasmu Kloster Bro.
As simple as it is implacable, the story told by Cutterhead awakens certain uncomfortable instincts and sensations that almost seem to leave the screen. Caught between the desire to run away and the need to know how the story ends, the spectators suffer along with the characters, who would like to help.
In Cutterhead, Rasmus Kloster Bro tries to distill the very essence of humanity. An essence with an intoxicating and nauseating smell that seems to float between the aseptic, white and immaculate bandages of the survivors. A disturbing film that deftly puts our limits to the test and forces us to reflect on an unflattering reality.

Synopsis: Rie is a PR-coordinator visiting a tunnel boring machine to portray the well-oiled European cooperation in the Metro construction when an accident suddenly occurs. Unable to escape, she takes refuge in an airlock with Croatian miner Ivo and Bharan, a worker from Eritrea. They put their lives and bodies in each other’s hands to survive the heat, pressure and mud in the claustrophobic cutterhead, exposing their radically different world views and forcing them to reconsider their lives – before finally being rescued.
