What is it?
Terrifying fun for the whole family!
TerrorKids has the goal to bring horror cinema to families and promote a love for the genre from an early age. Since 2015, TerrorKids offers a large selection of activities for all ages, both in-person and online, with the goals to:
- Promote the love for cinema from a very early age: Through movies and activities that are tailored to each level, TerrorKids helps children discover the magic of cinema and develop their love for horror movies.
- Foster creativity: TerrorKids includes workshops and activities that encourage children's imagination and creativity, which allows them to express themselves through cinema and horror.
- Promote social cohesion: The activities in TerrorKids are an excellent opportunity for families to spend time together and enjoy the experience they shared.
TerrorKids is part of the Festival's commitment to offer quality audiovisual content for all ages, focusing on horror films for families and children.. In addition to TerrorKids, the Festival also offers the Terror Classroom, a space dedicated to learning more about horror cinema for people of all ages.
Short film screenings
SHORT FILM SCREENINGS FOR CHILDREN
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1Oth | 10:00 H | LA PENI THEATRE | THE MONEY WILL BE DONATED TO A CHARITY FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER (AFANOC)
The screening will be divided into two: a first session with short films for children between 6-9 years old, and a second session with short films for children aged 10+. The screened short films have been selected taking into account criteria of quality, representativity, and appropriateness for the audience.
During the session, there will be a presentation of the works produced in the previous edition of the children's film workshop, presented by the children who took part.
Since 2023, TerrorKids has become a competitive section that gives the Jury Award for Best Short Film and the "Caca a la Butaca" Award.
*The screenings will have a relaxed setting to ensure it is accessible and includes people on the autism spectrum and people with other cognitive difficulties. The room will be more comfortable for everyone thanks to a dim illumination, the sound on a lower volume to avoid uncomfortable noises and the possibility to move around.

CHILDREN’S FILM WORKSHOP: MY FIRST HORROR SCENE

Children's film workshop: “M first horror scene” (children aged 8+), by Quim Crusellas, audiovisual producer.
New edition of the children's film workshop: “my first horror scene”. Its goal is to introduce children to film creation and to explore the elements that define horror as a genre. The outcome for this workshop if for the participant children to plan and film a continuous scene that includes some of the quintessential elements of horror movies.

Children's workshop: let's plant terrifying seeds

Create your terrifying garden, sowing seeds on a recycled planter.
This activity is to work on fine motor skills through handling seeds and preparing the ground to sow them in a recipient made with reused materials.
Activity for families with children aged 2+.

Craft workshop: let's make a scarecrow

An inventive workshop of artistic creation where each participant will be able to create their own scarecrow using different techniques:collage, colouring pencils, paints, crayons, etc. The goal for this workshop is to stimulate children's imagination through a creative and fun activity.

Reading space (ages 2+): Terrifying reads
A space dedicated to reading, to help young cinephiles learn about the adventure of reading histories of monsters, vampires, ghosts, and stories about being scared of the dark.
Come to TerrorKids and you will discover the most terrifying books, recommended to us by the El Molí library!
