From the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival we are very happy to continue another year with our collaboration with the Blogos de Oro Film Awards Association. We continue with the Crítica de Oro awards for the best feature film and short film in the Official Section of the Festival. We will also once again award the Blogos de Oro for the Best Horror Short Film among all the participants in the Blogos de Oro 2019 Short Film Competition. In addition, this year, with 22 more festivals, we will be part of the jury of the New Blogos de Oro Special Award for the Best Horror Film of the Year. In this way, we want to reinforce our commitment to the specialized press represented by this association and to genre cinema.
Blogos de Oro Award for Best Horror Short Film in collaboration with terrorMolins
For the second year we are awarding the Blogos de Oro Award for Best Horror Short Film of all the participants in the 2019 Blogos de Oro Short Film Contest.
A jury made up of three members of the Festival staff will evaluate the genre short films from among all those received in competition and the winner will be announced on Sunday, March 24th via our Twitter account @terrorMolins within the framework of the virtual Blogos de Oro 2019 awards gala, which will take place like every year in the hashtag #BlogosDeOro.
The short film that won the Blogos de Oro Award for Best Horror Short Film in collaboration with terrorMolins will be screened out of competition at the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival 2019, which this year will be held from November 8 to 17.
In the latest terrorMolins 2018, the short film that won this award, Menu from Carlos Bigorra, was screened at the Festival's Opening Gala in front of a packed house.
New Blogos de Oro Special Award for Best Horror Film of the Year
The Blogos de Oro Film and Series Awards this year include the novelty of a special Blogos de Oro Award for the Best Horror Film of the Year. What makes this award so special is that the jury is made up of 23 horror and fantasy festivals from all over Spain. We are delighted to share the jury with such close competitions as the Sabadell Horror Film Festival, Fantosfreak (Cerdanyola del Vallès Short Film Festival), Cardoterror (Cardedeu Horror Film Festival) or the Sant Cugat Horror and Fantasy Film Festival, among others.
This new award will be presented for the first time in the sixth edition of the Blogos de Oro Awards (Sunday, March 24th from 5:00 PM on the hashtag #BlogosDeOro).
The winning film will come from a list of 37 films that includes titles that we screened last #terrorMolins 2018 as of now Ghostland, Mandy i Summer '84, and also the Mum and Dad that we offered in 2017. The list also includes such outstanding films as Hereditary, Suspiria, Errementari or The Nun.

The Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival is glad to continue the partnership with Asociación Premios de Cine Blogos de Oro. Again, we will be present at the Premios de la Crítica de Oro for the best feature film and best short film from the Official Section of the Festival. We are going to give the award Blogos de Oro al Mejor Cortometraje de Terror to one of the films included in the Blogos de Oro 2019 contest. Moreover this year we will be members of the jury, along with 22 other festivals, for the new special award Blogos de Oro to the best horror film of the year. We want to strengthen our commitment with genre cinema and with the specialized media which are represented by this association.
