More than 10,000 spectators came through the festival, filling the Teatre de La Peni and the Ca n&#039;Ametller exhibition hall, as well as the venues for the Ind\u00fastria activities. It is in this last section that, until Thursday 21, the festival has been active through the\u00a0<strong>IV Ibero-American Co-production Forum<\/strong>, a meeting of independent producers dedicated to genre cinema that aims to create a network where to share experiences, present projects and generate co-productions between countries on both sides of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to in-person attendees, TerrorMolins has had an online extension through the platforms\u00a0<strong>Filming<\/strong>, where several short film sessions and the Retrospective were shown, and\u00a0<strong>3Cat<\/strong>, where there are some of the horror films in Catalan that have been part of the festival&#039;s programming. With nearly 8,000 online users,\u00a0<strong>The audience figures for the 43rd edition amount to 18,000<\/strong>. The festival organization has made a very good assessment of the numbers but also of the quality of new audiences, with the consolidation of sessions such as TerrorKids \u2014which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year\u2014 and TerrorJove, which in its second year has managed to bring genre cinema closer to new generations. Traditionally less crowded sections such as Retrospectiva have also managed to gain weight among the public, with the successful screening of\u00a0<em>The Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The festival brings down the curtain on its 43rd edition with the celebration of the IV Ibero-American Co-production Forum, the second part of which will take place in March 2025.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Driving transatlantic terror. <\/strong>One of the areas of TerrorMolins that has gained the most momentum in recent years is industry, with some\u00a0<strong>Professional Conferences<\/strong>\u00a0that this year have broken all previous participation records: more production companies \u2014including,\u00a0<strong>Warner Bros.<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Filmax<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fasten<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ikiru Films<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Miyagi Films<\/strong>\u00a0o\u00a0<strong>3Cat<\/strong>\u2014; more speakers and accredited sector and more projects underway than ever. Among the projects presented are the Spanish\u00a0<em><strong>The evil ones<\/strong><\/em>, by Elena Gall\u00e9n, winner of the UCO Cinematic Sound Award; or the Mexican\u00a0<em><strong>The woman who dreamed underwater<\/strong><\/em>, by Ale Garcia and Carla Sierra, recognized with a mention from the same UCO Cinematic Sound Award. In the coming days, the winners of the Cinescalas Award will be announced and, within the framework of the Ventana Sur audiovisual market \u2014the most important in Latin America\u2014, the TerrorMolins Horror Talent and TerrorMolins Coproduction Forum awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also within the framework of the industry activities of TerrorMolins 2024, the&nbsp;<strong>IV Ibero-American Co-production Forum<\/strong>, which ends on Thursday 21 and which brings together independent producers from four countries (Argentina, Spain, Colombia and Mexico) to enable international co-productions in the fantasy and horror genres, in addition to programming talks and debates with more than a dozen speakers from the four countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><br>The feature films &#039;Exhuma&#039;, &#039;El instinto&#039; and &#039;Handsome Guys&#039; and the short film &#039;El cactus&#039; receive the audience awards in their respective sections.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The public also rewards.<\/strong>With the closing of the 2024 edition, dedicated to rural terror, the latest awards have also been announced, the audience awards that round out a list of awards headed by the big winner,\u00a0<em>The Devil&#039;s Bath<\/em>. In the main competitive selection of feature films, Official Section, the Audience Award went to the Korean film\u00a0<em><strong>Exhume<\/strong><\/em>, by Jang Jae-hyun, which was also awarded the jury&#039;s award for Best Special Effects and Makeup. Finally, the audience favorite in the Being Different section was the Spanish\u00a0<em><strong>The instinct<\/strong><\/em>, by Juan Albarrac\u00edn, which had already won the awards for Best Film and Best Screenplay in the same section.
