Roc\u00edo Al\u00e9s Fern\u00e1ndez (M\u00e1laga, 1984) holds a PhD in Art History from the University of M\u00e1laga. She combines her work as a History professor with research on the iconography of horror films, tattoos and photography, on which she has published several articles in both specialized university journals and collective publications. In her latest essay, \u201cDeep America: Rural North American Horror Film\u201d (2024), she analyses the dark side of North American culture through the stereotype of \u2019Deep America\u201d, materialised in rural horror films from the 1970s. Within the framework of the University of M\u00e1laga, she has organised three editions of the \u201dEncuentros sobre el terror, la ciencia ficci\u00f3n y lo fant\u00e1stico\u201c (2017\/18\/19), a conference designed to dignify the study of these genres. In addition, under the pseudonym MissTerror, she carries out outreach work on social networks on issues related to the horror genre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Actress from Molinella, graduated in dramatic art from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. She expanded her training with courses in acting in front of the camera in Madrid and also dubbing courses. As a curious fact, from the time she came of age -parallel to her training- she worked for seven years playing Regan, the exorcist's daughter, at the Hotel Kr\u00fceger in the Tibidabo Amusement Park. She can currently be seen in the film "42 seconds" (Prime Video and RTVE Play), a film that tells the story of the Spanish water polo team at the 1992 Olympic Games, in which she plays an Olympic swimmer. In the series "Cristo y Rey" (Netflix) she plays the first partner of \u00c1ngel Cristo, a German trapeze artist; and in the series "L'\u00faltima nit del Karaoke" (Prime Video and 3Cat) she plays the character of Diana. She is also a dubbing actress and announcer. He has dubbed for series and films on Netflix, Prime Video, Universal Studios or HBO Max; and has provided voice for commercials and audiobooks. He has recently participated in the filming of a series between Madrid and Valladolid -of which he cannot give any details yet- which will have a premiere date in the fall of 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Caye Casas is a film director and screenwriter with a successful career in the horror and fantasy genre. He has directed the short films \u201cNada SA\u201d and \u201cRIP\u201d, which have won more than 200 awards and have been selected for more than 500 international festivals. This success allowed him to make his first feature film, \u201cMatar a Dios\u201d, which premiered at the Sitges Festival and won the grand prize from the audience, in addition to other recognitions such as the M\u00e9li\u00e8s de Plata Award for best European fantasy and horror film. \u201cMatar a Dios\u201d became the most awarded black comedy of the year. In 2023, he released his second feature film, \u201cLa mesita del comedor\u201d, a cruel tragedy that has won more than 50 awards at renowned festivals such as the BIFF in Brussels, Fantaspoa and the San Sebastian Horror Festival. This film has been considered one of the best in the genre by specialized media such as Variety and Letterboxd, and has been nominated for Best International Film by Fangoria magazine. Apart from that, Caye Casa invited a certain Stephen King (little scoundrel) to paella to thank the King of Horror for publicly recommending it to his legion of fans.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

When he was 22 years old, Enrique discovered that his passion for cinema went beyond simple entertainment and decided to abandon his medical career and study cinematographic arts. After creating several scripts for short films and writing a couple of novels, he spent a few years doing communication studies for various companies, including some film festivals and distributors. With the knowledge acquired in both fields (film and communication), in December 2003 he decided to start CineAsia, a company that aims to promote Asian cinema. Its services range from the organization and programming of festivals (Sitges Festival, Fancine, Granada-Cines del Sur Festival, Korean Film Festival\u2026) and Asian film cycles, to the organization of courses and conferences for various universities and institutions (UAB, UMA, Casa Asia, Escuela de cine de San Antonio de los Ba\u00f1os). With a solid background in Graphic Design, Cristina Borobia has developed a prolific career in the audiovisual world, standing out as an Art Director in film, television and advertising. Her talent and versatility have led her to collaborate on large-scale projects, leaving an indelible mark on each one. She has been the creative mind behind the visual aesthetics of renowned films such as \u201cMatar a Dios\u201d, \u201c7 Raons per a Fugir de la Sociedad\u201d and \u201cLa Mesita del Comedor\u201d. Her works have been critically acclaimed and have won numerous international awards, including the Audience Award at the Sitges Festival. As art director of the short films \u201cNada SA\u201d and \u201cRIP\u201d, she has demonstrated her ability to create visually striking worlds, achieving more than 150 awards and selections at international festivals. His experience extends to television, where he has worked on documentary series such as \u201cEl Fiscal, la Presidenta i l'Espi\u201d for Netflix, as well as children's programs such as \u201cLos Lunnis\u201d. Her adaptation of Sherlock Holmes and the Speckled Band was screened in historic locations such as The Treasurer's House, York, Ripley Castle, North Yorkshire, and Sydney, Australia. Max directs the Academic in Screenwriting at Bournemouth University and holds a PhD in Screenwriting from the University of York. She is currently involved in the AHRC research project BRAID, Shared Post-Human Imagination: Human-AI Collaboration in Media Creation. He co-founded the young filmmakers\u2019 collective Campdale Motion with members of the Film Society, with whom he has produced, written and directed multiple projects. Currently, he works at Televisi\u00f3 de Badalona, where I have had the opportunity to develop and collaborate on several projects over the last twenty years. During the first years of the Filmets Badalona Film Festival, I was part of the organizing committee and the selection jury, a very enriching experience. In addition, I am a member of The Crypts Productions, an entity dedicated to promoting cultural activities related to fantasy cinema. Together with them, we organize the Cryptshow Festival in Badalona, an event that wants to defend everything that surrounds terror and fantasy in any of its artistic expressions, be it cinema, music, painting... Something that I am passionate about! Regarding my most recent works, I have co-directed two documentaries that have particularly marked me: \u201c\u00c8pica. He has recorded more than sixty albums \u2014mostly for the Naxos record label\u2014 and is the author of the collections of short stories \u201cEls reptes de Vladimir\u201d (Temenos, 2010), \u201cCat\u00e0leg de monstres\u201d (Marcolic-Alpina, 2012), \u201cLes mil i una\u201d (Temenos, 2015) and \u201cAmbrosia\u201d (Males Herbes, 2020), the short story volumes \u201cPolpa\u201d (Males Herbes, 2016), \u201cLa biblioteca fantasma\u201d (Males Herbes, 2018) and \u201cLes males herbes\u201d (Males Herbes, 2022) and the novels \u201cL'hivern a Corf\u00fa\u201d (Males Herbes, 2019) and \u201cXacona\u201d (Males Herbes, 2023), winner of the 2024 Llibreter Award.
