Created by filmmaker and video game designer <strong>Sergi Vizcaino<\/strong> (director of the feature film XP3D and renowned short films such as TIGHT), the piece pays homage to this year&#039;s leitmotif, found footage, connecting directly with the director&#039;s origins. For Vizcaino, making the spot is a reunion with his cinematic roots and with the festival itself, where he received the first award of his life in 2002: \u201c<strong>It is a tribute born from the love for the genre and the deep appreciation I have for this festival.<\/strong>; I wanted to tell a story that gradually unravels through pieces that work independently, forming an infinite loop towards terror&quot;. The highlight of this edition will be the visit of North American filmmakers.\u00a0<strong>Daniel Myrick<\/strong>\u00a0i\u00a0<strong>Eduardo Sanchez<\/strong>, directors of the mythical phenomenon\u00a0<em>The Blair Witch Project<\/em>, which will be the closing film and during the session they will receive the\u00a0<strong>Tribute Award 2026<\/strong>.<br><br>The inaugural film team will be present.\u00a0<em>Those who come<\/em>, which celebrates its Catalan premiere, led by the debuting director\u00a0<strong>Victor Catalan<\/strong>, the actress\u00a0<strong>Paula Gallego<\/strong>, the actor\u00a0<strong>Miguel Lago<\/strong>, the screenwriter\u00a0<strong>Carlos Camba<\/strong>\u00a0and the composer\u00a0<strong>Joan Vila<\/strong>. The director will also be present at the opening gala.\u00a0<strong>Caye Houses<\/strong>\u00a0(big winner of TerrorMolins 2023 with\u00a0<em>The dining room table<\/em>), who will present his new short film\u00a0<em>Father&#039;s love<\/em>\u00a0accompanied by the actress\u00a0<strong>Christina Rapado<\/strong>.<br><br><strong>Parallel activities.<\/strong> The TerrorMolins 2026 program is completed with a powerful list of parallel activities that take the pulse of new forms of the genre and the history of horror cinema. One of the main thematic axes this year revolves around the phenomenon of&nbsp;<em>found footage<\/em>&nbsp;and the mockumentary, with outstanding proposals such as the talk&nbsp;<strong>When terror pretends to be real:&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>found footage<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;i&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>mockumentary<\/strong><\/em>, by the film critic&nbsp;<strong>Antonio Jose Navarro<\/strong>, which will take place on Saturday, November 7. In the same vein, on Saturday, November 14, the doctor in Communication and Game Studies&nbsp;<strong>Victor Navarro<\/strong>&nbsp;will give the talk&nbsp;<em><strong>Found footage&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><strong>playable and cursed pixels: from the Blair Witch to<\/strong><em><strong>&nbsp;cursed demo discs<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;i&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>backrooms<\/strong><\/em>, exploring the connection of horror with the world of video games and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This universe will be complemented, on Saturday, November 14, with the round table&nbsp;<strong>Panic witnesses: anatomy of the&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>found footage<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;through new perspectives<\/strong>, moderated by&nbsp;<strong>Jordi G. Montan\u00e9<\/strong>&nbsp;with the participation of\u2019<strong>Ania Posada<\/strong>, content creator and disseminator;&nbsp;<strong>Maria Du\u00f1o<\/strong>, film critic and presenter; i&nbsp;<strong>Dani Grandes<\/strong>, filmmaker, cultural journalist and researcher at UPF; and with the&nbsp;<strong>conversation&nbsp;<\/strong>around the paradigm shift that it entailed&nbsp;<em><strong>The Blair Witch Project<\/strong><\/em>, with the directors honored&nbsp;<strong>Daniel Myrick<\/strong>&nbsp;i&nbsp;<strong>Eduardo Sanchez<\/strong>, which will moderate&nbsp;<strong>Anders E. Larsson<\/strong>, director of the Lund Fantastic Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival also reinforces its industry and creation side on Thursday, November 12 with the&nbsp;<em>masterclass<\/em>&nbsp;<strong>Creating genre cinema: two perspectives, the same project<\/strong>, where the director&nbsp;<strong>Marc Martinez Jordan<\/strong>&nbsp;and the producer&nbsp;<strong>David Ciurana<\/strong>&nbsp;will detail the challenges, complicity and negotiations behind the production of a genre film. On the other hand, the memory and history of the festival will play a prominent role on Monday, November 9th with the presentation of the book&nbsp;<em><strong>The horror movie marathons of Molins de Rei (1973-2026)<\/strong><\/em>, by the author&nbsp;<strong>Alex Aguilera<\/strong>, which reviews 45 editions and more than 1,000 titles screened. Coinciding with the\u00a0<em>leitmotif\u00a0<\/em>of this 45th edition, the third year Illustration students of the\u2019<strong>Joso School<\/strong>\u00a0presents a collection of posters recovered from the archives of the mysterious and forgotten production company &quot;Jeta&quot;, a pioneer in using primitive artificial intelligence tools to save paying professionals.
