From October 26 to November 25, 2018, <\/span>the Exhibition Hall of Ca N'Ametller of <\/span>Molins de Rei will host the free exhibition '\u2018De Palma vs De Palma'.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>This is the first time that the private material of the Catalan Jordi Batet will be exhibited.<\/span> Trias<\/span>, the world's leading collector of material related to the work of the prestigious American filmmaker Brian De Palma.<\/span> Batet has dedicated more than thirty years to the search for all those objects linked to the famous director. In this way, he has managed to compile the largest private collection that exists about the famous filmmaker.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival and the Molins de Rei City Council<\/span> have joined forces to offer an exceptional exhibition at the wheel of the author of contemporary classics of the seventh art, such as <\/span>Carrie<\/span> (1976), <\/span>Dressed to kill<\/span> (<\/span>Dressed to Kill<\/i><\/span>, <\/i>1980), <\/span>The price of power<\/span>(<\/span>Scarface<\/i><\/span>, 1983), <\/span>The Untouchables by Eliot Ness<\/span> (The Untouchables<\/i>, 1987) and <\/span>Mission impossible<\/span> (<\/span>Mission: Impossible<\/i><\/span>, 1996<\/span>). This exhibition is one of the most important events of the 37th edition of Terror Molins, which this year focuses its tributes on this essential director of the generation known as New Hollywood. A retrospective of his work linked to the horror genre and a book that analyzes the constants of his filmography, complete<\/span>This is an edition of the competition that has aroused great interest and anticipation. <\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition \u00a0De Palma vs De Palma<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0offers a journey through the work of this leading filmmaker, based on the unfolding of several recurring concepts in his cinema. Next Oct 26th-Nov 25th, 2018, the Sala d'Exposicions de Ca N'Ametller in Molins de Rei will host the free exhibition called De Palma vs De Palma. Catalan Jordi Batet Trias's personal materials will be exhibited for the first time ever; he is the biggest collector specialized in items connected with the work of the great North American film director, Brian De Palma. Mr Batet has devoted more than thirty years to research all kinds of objects connected with the notorious director.<\/h4>\n

The Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival along with the Local Council of Molins de Rei are collaborating to offer an impressive exhibition on the author of present time classics of the 7th art, such as Carrie (1976), Dressed to Kill (1980), Scarface (1983), The Untouchables (1987) and Mission: Impossible (1996).<\/p>\n

This exhibition will be one of the central events of the 37th edition of TerrorMolins, which this year is paying tribute to this essential member of the New Hollywood generation. Additionally, there will be a retrospective of his genre focused films, and a book reviewing the main features of his filmography will complete the 2018 edition.<\/p>\n

The exhibition called revisits the director's main features displaying a number of recursive concepts from his work. Visitors will find original posters of the films -made by artists from all over the world- setting pictures as well as photograms of the films and other original objects. Moreover, an exclusive video clip will be doing the honors to the exhibition. There is also a special section devoted to De Palma's horror film called The Fury (1978) of which we are celebrating the 40th anniversary.<\/p>\n

This unique exhibition will open its doors next Friday, Oct 26th, at 8:00pm. Additionally, next Sunday, Nov 4th, at 12:00pm, the official book of the Festival will be presented: A monographic volume focused on the director and issued by the publishing company Hermenaute.<\/p>\n
