To celebrate the 40th edition of the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival, we renew our collaboration with the digital content platform FILMIN. As expected, the Festival will bring you new content and sections, more than doubling the offer of the successful last edition where we reached an audience of more than 36,000 spectators.
The content, which will be available exclusively on FILMIN from October 28 to November 21, 2021, will be divided into the following sections:
VIDEODROME SECTION
The competitive section will be full of new horror titles that, after having been through the best genre festivals, will arrive in your homes. You will also be able to enjoy premieres, so make sure to mark the dates. The section will feature films that cover different genres, origins and budgets so that you can explore the world's horror scene from the comfort of your sofa.
DOCUMENTARY SECTION
New non-competitive section that will bring you some of the best horror documentaries of recent years, some of which will be absolute premieres in our country.
REMEMBER SECTION
New non-competitive feature film section that, as a tribute to the 40th edition of the Festival, will review some of the best films that have passed through the Festival in the last decade. All the selected films will be re-released without distribution currently in our country. Don't miss the opportunity to recover great titles, many of which won different awards at the Festival.
SHORT FILM SECTION – 20TH ANNIVERSARY
Non-competitive section. Half of an entire existence. Of its forty editions, short films have been a fundamental part of the Festival in the last twenty. A good part of these short films, among the thousands we have received, have left a deep mark on both the audience and the organization. They are the ones that reaffirm our existence and also our insistence and although not all of them are, they are all of them. It is only a small sample. Small, but intense.
BALLOON SECTION
A non-competitive section that was born in 2020 in a pandemic context with a clear and forceful purpose: to include short films that bring us closer to human diversity in all its dimensions. The main objective of the Globus section is to offer a different, singular, or at least alternative presence, to new perspectives on the genre while at the same time going beyond the classic concept of horror.
