We already have the 5 finalists for the TAC Awards for the best horror and fantasy shorts produced by Catalan producers. Mike Hostench, actress Mònica Van Campen and director Iago de Soto will be the official jury for the TAC Awards.
The fantasy and horror festivals of Catalonia have already chosen the five short films that will compete for the TAC Awards, from among the 21 selected productions. It was announced during the celebration of the Cryptshow Festival in Badalona. They are the following:

HORRORSCOPE by Pol Diggler
THE LAST CHRISTMAS OF THE UNIVERSE by David Muñoz & Adrián Cardona
CHRISTMAS by Robert Rabanal
NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE by Mireia Noguera
They are up for Best Short Film, Best Performance and Best Special Effects and the Audience Award. A jury made up of professionals from the world of cinema and horror will have the final say. The winners will be announced on October 30 at Cardoterror (Cardedeu) in a session where the five finalist shorts will also be shown.
The awards will be decided by the three members of the jury, which, as every year, is made up of professionals from the sector. Producer Mike Hostench, co-director of the Sitges-International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia between 2004 and 2019 and currently linked to the new video game content streaming platform, BINGE2022; actress Mònica Van Campen, known for her participation in films such as Princesas by Fernando León, Palace by El Tricicle or Alas Rotas by Carlos Gil; and Iago de Soto, director of La Guarida, TAC Award for Best Short Film 2020, will be responsible for choosing this year's award winners from among the five finalists.
As of today, the Federation of Horror Film Entities Throughout Catalonia is made up of 11 festivals: Sabadell Horror Film Festival, Sant Cugat Fantàstic, Cryptshow Festival (Badalona), Fantosfreak (Cerdanyola del Vallès), B-Retina (Cornellà de Llobregat), Fangofest (Amposta), InFest (Rubí), Acocollona't (Girona), Bai de Fest (Roses), Cardoterror (Cardedeu) and Molins de Rei Horror Festival.
