From this Tuesday, the content will be published periodically on the platform, as a preview of the next editions of Fancine, Isla Calavera, TerrorMolins and Donostia Week

Noviembre Fantasma, the joint initiative of the San Sebastián Fantastic and Horror Film Week, Fancine – Málaga Fantastic Film Festival, TerrorMolins Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival and Isla Calavera – Canary Islands Fantastic Film Festival, returns for another autumn to celebrate its fourth season by expanding its catalogue of content related to the fantasy and horror genre. More than fifteen unpublished proposals will make up the new audiovisual delivery of this edition, which will be progressively uploaded to the platform from this same Tuesday, setting the release of the publications for another year in October.

In this way, the four festivals once again demonstrate their collaborative commitment with this common programming that will serve as a preview of the next editions of the competitions, as an online complement to their in-person lineup and their agenda of parallel activities.

As usual, this program will be made up of a varied selection of pieces that will disseminate content related to the fantasy genre in the cinematic field. The Donostia Horror Week will program a talk by the British expert in horror culture David J. Skal, as well as a meeting with actresses Lone Fleming and Marian Salgado. For its part, the TerrorMolins will also add dialogues that the veteran director Mar Targarona (El cuco) and the filmmaker Caye Casas (La mesita del comedor) will have with their viewers, in addition to a masterclass on the role of witches in horror filmography by the expert in cinema and genre Mireia Iniesta, and a talk on “horror comics” that will star the prolific illustrator and filmmaker Borja Crespo.

The fancinera contribution will be materialized through four videos, among them, an interview with the film critic Carlos Aguilar, in which he will talk about his latest book; and a conference by José Fernández de Vega, director of Buñuel in the Laberinto de las Tortugas, who will explain the process of adapting this work. The Malaga festival will give the musical note to this collection with a concert by the heavy group Santo Rostro

and will document the presentation of Encuentros in the third phase by its protagonist, the legendary actor Richard Dreyfuss, guest of honor at its 33rd edition. Thanks to Isla Calavera, we will also accompany the legendary Hollywood actor on his visit to the Canary archipelago, where he will recall the maritime dangers of the filming of Tiburón. Three more pieces will arrive from Tenerife: actor Eduardo Noriega will once again “open his eyes” with the island audience after the screening of Alejandro Amenábar's classic; Sam J. Jones will return to the space in a talk about Flash Gordon and the 90th anniversary of King Kong will be commemorated by Jesús Palacios.

All of them can be viewed on the platform www.noviembrefantasma.es

With the incorporation of this new batch of titles, the permanent roster of Noviembre Fantasma videos now reaches fifty pieces, additional content that includes interviews with prominent protagonists of the current film scene, film analysis, meetings with the public and other educational proposals.

Noviembre Fantasma was born in 2020 as a result of the restrictions imposed by the health crisis, thus creating a network of collaboration between some of the main genre festivals in the country, which share common objectives and the same philosophy and style. It is a project with a permanent vocation whose purpose is to offer material with its own label throughout the year, in addition to working in a coordinated manner to instill a taste for fantasy and other related genres among the general public.

The platform also facilitates the confluence of the public of the respective events, thus promoting a national fandom that encourages participation and reciprocity. After four years of activity, Noviembre Fantasma has consolidated itself as a meeting point for enthusiasts of the fantasy genre from the different locations, connecting them virtually with twinned events that they can be part of despite the distance.
