From November 7 to 16

Short films

Within its programming, The Short Film Festival is committed to an open and inclusive perspective. Its different sections propose a careful selection of works from very diverse origins, also paying attention to the local filmmaking community, covering a large number of formats and styles, ranging from the purest entertainment to the most discursive, passing through the most visceral and strong emotions.

The selection includes mainly premieres and unpublished or rarely seen works in the festivals of the territory, both large productions and bets on independent authorship, all of them with cinematographic quality and artistic interest as a common denominator.

      Family and school section

With the intention to bring young audiences closer to the short film festival, we offer family and school sections:

      • TerrorKids Session: screening of children's short films divided into two blocks, one for the youngest (6-9 years old) and one for those who are starting to want to be adults (9-12 years old). After 7 editions as a showcase, in 2023 it became a competitive session that awards the Jury Prize for Best Short Film and the Audience Award "Caca a la Butaca". This session includes recreational activities and film workshops for children.
      • Institutes Session: screening of the best short films from the previous edition of the Festival aimed at high school students. This exhibition is complemented by educational activities and thematic conferences, as well as the presence of authors.
