[:en]It has been a pleasure for the Festival to host the World Premiere of the movie Framed, a film directed by Marc Martínez Jordán that had its premiere last Friday, November 10th at the Teatre de la Peni in Molins de Rei as part of the TerrorMolins.
Framed mixes the most classic components of horror cinema (and especially the so-called “home invasion movies”) with the unstoppable growth of new communication technologies (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.). A technological phenomenon that is changing the society in which we live and above all the way in which we communicate. Framed is a terrifying, critical essay, with touches of humor, of the excessive and unfiltered use by a society increasingly given over to the phenomenon of virality.
The film is directed by Marc Martinez Jordan, graduated from ESCAC in 2012 with a degree in Directing. His final project, the horror short film “Timothy” (2014) was included in the official section of the Sitges Film Festival. After two years of exhibition, it accumulated 36 awards and nearly 200 national and international selections.
In 2013 he also co-directed the film The Innocents, a teenage slasher produced by Escandalo films and made entirely by Escac students. A film present in the panorama section of the Sitges Festival, not only receiving selections at several international festivals.
His latest work, the short film Horseface in black and white, with a budget of 20 euros and starring his grandmother and himself, has earned him more than 60 national and international awards and 250 selections. Some awards at festivals as important as the Milano Film Festival, Brussels short film festival, Sitges film festival or Las Vegas film festival.
The script is signed by the author himself. Marc Martinez Jordan and for Jaume Cuspinera, current script tutor for ESCAC's final year projects and one of those responsible for developing scripts such as Eve (Kike Maíllo, 2011) and Animals (Marçal Forés, 2012).
Martínez Jordan's feature film debut is sponsored by the director and producer, Marc Carrete director of titles such as Asmodexia i After The Legacy and creator of the indie label Creatures Of The Dark.
The main cast is made up of Alex Maruny (Ghost Promotion, The club of the misunderstood, Barcelona Winter Night, Red Wristbands), Claudia Pons (Asmodexia, Elisa K, Declassified) and Joe Manjon (Risen, Megan Leavey, According to Mateo).
The debutante completes the cast Lydia Casanova, Julia Mills (Hooked Up, La Riera, I know who you were), Enric Auquer (Los Inocentes, Ebro from the cradle to the battle), Biel Montoro (Black Snow, The Other Frontier) , Daniel Horvath (Encouter with a Mirror, Kamikaze, Buscando el Norte), Carlus Fabrega (Julia's Eyes, Night and Day), Ramon Canals (Asmodexia),Santos Adrian (Rotten Train, The Glorious Seven), Adriana Feito (The Revolution of Los Angeles, My Ex girlfriends), Jose Garcia (The Crack, Losers), Marina Duran (Asmodexia, The Drawing) and Sea Mountain (Night and Day, Asmodexia).
Framed also has the special collaboration of Pep Sais(Eight Catalan surnames, Los Últimos días), Mercè Montala(Kidnapping, Camille) and Ann Perello (Toxic love, Otel.lo).
Synopsis
Framed is an application that allows you to stream video from any mobile device connected to the internet. Since there is no censorship, many of its users do anything to get the largest possible audience: beatings and rapes happen in the streams, there is no limit.
Alex meets up with his friends one night before leaving for work in Berlin. The night goes by relatively normally until he and his friends are attacked by three individuals who force them to participate in macabre and cruel deadly games. All of this will be streamed with one goal in mind: to achieve a record audience for Framed.

Framed brings together the most common classic horror-film features (with an eye on “home invasion movies”) with the unstoppable rise of the newest social media networks (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc). A trend that's changing society and especially the way we relate to each other. Framed is a dark glimpse with a flavor of black humor into this excess and overuse of social media by a part of a society totally abandoned to virality.
The film was directed by Marc Martinez Jordan, who holds a degree in Film Direction at ESCAC. His graduation project, the horror short film Timothy (2014) was in the Official Section at the Sitges Film Festival. After two years of exhibition it gathered 36 prices and around 200 national and international selections.
