The European premiere of the frantic fourth installment of the V/H/S saga will inaugurate the 40th Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival 2021 with the screening of V/H/S 94. Timo Tjahjanto, Simon Barrett, Chloe Okino, Ryan Prows and Jennifer Reeder direct the segments in this anthology. Experience horror captured on video.
After the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape, a team of police officers launch a high-intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult hiding a collection of recorded material that conceals a nightmarish conspiracy. Pure, uncompromising horror from the makers of films like Ready or not, The night house, You're next, The night comes for us i Knives and Skis.
As a complement to the session, we will have the Finnish short film, Night of the Living Dicks, a committed and shameless Nordic horror directed by Ilia Rautsi, who was already present at the 2018 edition of the Festival with Helsinki Mansplaining Massacre. Surely, it will not leave anyone indifferent.
And to culminate in luxury, the festival will close the 40th edition with one of the most outstanding and anticipated titles: The Innocents. Eskil Vogt directs one of the most controversial films at Cannes (to the point of being labeled one of the best horror films of the decade) about a group of children in Norway who during a radiant summer decide to reveal themselves against the adults when they look away.
