The new film by animator Alberto Vázquez, winner of a Goya for Psychonauts, the forgotten children, will arrive in the Official Section of the TerrorMolins after premiering in Annecy. Unicorn Wars is a violent war epic that pits colorful bears and unicorns against each other to decide the fate of the Magic Forest. Speak No Evil, by Danish director Christian Tafdrup, is one of the most controversial and brutal titles of the year. What begins as a chronicle of a holiday between two families gradually becomes a distressing and perverse allegory about cultural divergences and clashes in the heart of Europe. from Korea comes Project Wolf Hunting, by Kim Hong-sun, an adrenaline-pumping action-horror film set on the high seas, on a ship carrying a group of unscrupulous criminals… and something even more terrible. The winner of the last Fantasia festival, Megalomaniac, will also be part of the Official Selection. Karim Ouelhaj's dirty and disturbing debut, one of the sensations of the year, is freely inspired by the case of the Butcher of Mons, a mysterious serial killer who terrorized Belgium in the late nineties, to talk about the weight of patriarchy and its consequences in society. A Deadstream, by the Americans Joseph and Vanessa Winter, the cinema of found footage (found footage) comes across a new and stimulating reference that combines comedy and horror, ghosts and YouTubers, recalling recent phenomena such as Dashcam, by Rob Savage.
In a year in which TerrorMolins focuses on horror musicals, its programming could not miss one of the films of the genre par excellence: The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jim Sharman's cult film, king of loft and festival screenings, will arrive in Molins de Rei with a special theatrical screening that will be one of the highlights of the festival.
