It is an honor to announce that the short film MALAKOUT (Dir. Farnoosh Abedi) will be part of the selection for this edition, a work of Iranian origin made in stop motion that demonstrates a great passion for the genre both for its classic references and its impressive setting.
The Finnish short film EXPECTATION (Dir. Juho Fossi) will be another one of our choices for the Festival's SO. This psychological horror film about the fears of fatherhood will captivate with its shocking morality.
MUM'S SWEATER, from the acclaimed distributor Miyu, is another of the short films selected for this edition. An impeccable work that deals with the manifestations of grief using an exceptional metaphor.
One of our first five short films selected isSHE AND THE DARKNESS (Dir. Daniel Romero). An excellent Beatriz Arjona stars in this chilling drama "with notes of the best Nordic genre" that deliciously explores how to welcome darkness.
Directed by Iranian Sheida Sheikhha, NEVERMORE will be part of the 2021 selection. This disturbing short film stands out for its representation of the internal struggle, between fears and demons, of a mother in the worst of tragedies.
