One of the great novelties of this 40th edition is that the legendary Teatre del Foment is once again one of the Festival's venues. A century-old space that from 1982 to 1990 hosted the 12 Hours of Horror Film, the first sharing the program with Peni, and the last two, being the Festival's sole venue.
So returning to Fomento is like returning home, because The Festival experienced one of its most successful periods there, with absolute cult films and some of the most remembered performances.. A return that is doubly special for the organization, as some of us enjoyed our first marathons there as spectators, thus beginning our love story with TerrorMolins.
With the return to this legendary headquarters, twenty-one years later, we want to take the opportunity to take a step further, offering sessions and events very different from those we do at La Peni: from more usual things like talks and special film sessions with discussion, even concerts, live podcasts, karaoke sessions... and many more surprises.
Another of the new features that the new headquarters will include is that it will offer morning activities almost every day, so the festival extends its programming throughout the day. With this new stage at El Foment, taking advantage of its magnificent facilities as well as its location in the heart of the town, we want to get closer not only to the most film-loving public but also to the local population, who will find different and attractive cultural activities here.
Finally, it should be noted that the headquarters of El Foment will absorb part of the spirit of the extinct La Gótica headquarters, hosting the True Survivor feature film competition, the retrospective sessions, and the Ç-trencada short film session. This year's edition of will also be held there. the Professional Conferences, our industry event designed as a meeting point between emerging filmmakers in the horror and fantasy genres, and the film industry, a space conducive to networking, the exchange and improvement of knowledge, and the maturation of projects.
That's right, El Foment opens up a new horizon for TerrorMolins with many paths to explore in the future. We invite you to come and be part of this new adventure!
