The Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation (CCMA) and the Association Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival have signed a collaboration agreement to promote and disseminate the events and activities of this film festival dedicated to the horror genre, which this year celebrates its 40th edition, becoming a benchmark event throughout Europe and containing the oldest horror film marathon in the State.
According to this agreement, the CCMA media, through the different programs and spaces, will disseminate the activities of the TerrorMolins, which will celebrate its 40th edition in person, in Molins de Rei, between November 5 and 14 and, online, from October 28 to November 21.
This year, the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival will commemorate its 40th edition by reviewing the social context in which it was born. That is why it will look back to the beginnings, in 1973, when the oldest horror film marathon in the State was held, the embryo of the current festival. As part of this anniversary, TerrorMolins has organized an exhibition of photographs -some of which were donated by the public-, audiovisuals and graphic material, which will show the historical and cinematic evolution of the festival.
TerrorMolins It hosts a whole series of independent and diversified activities (art, literature, music, creation, etc.), which are added to a varied program of feature films and short films selected annually from hundreds of works that are intended for different types of audiences and ages.
This agreement is part of the CCMA's mission of promoting and disseminating culture and its commitment to guarantee coverage of major cultural events and the most relevant festivals in the country, through collaboration with those institutions that work to promote culture, education, creation and innovation.
