Heresy (Witte Wieven)

Holland, Middle Ages. Freida prays to become pregnant with a child who does not arrive and her prayers, far from bringing her the grace she longs for, condemn her to a deep and dangerous loneliness. One day, in a desperate escape from what seems to be a fatal destiny, she enters the forbidden forest. There, events take place that transform her forever and that disrupt the life and beliefs of her people. It is impossible not to think of Robert Eggers' witch with this invitation to heresy, a concise and atmospheric Central European retort that passed through, among others, the Rotterdam Festival.
