The Damned
Abel Danan | 2024 | 80 min.
SYNOPSIS
A young Moroccan woman moves to Paris to study at university. Shortly afterwards, however, circumstances force her to remain confined to the small apartment where she lives. When the isolation and claustrophobia begin to become suffocating, her subconscious runs wild, awakening buried memories and disturbing images. Meanwhile, something strange is happening upstairs... The debut film by the very young Abel Danan is as oppressive in its essence as it is creative in its forms, and delights in sinister buildings like Roman Polanski did in Repulsion or J-Horror references like The Curse and Dark Water...
Session with subtitles adapted for people with hearing disabilities.
