Member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, TAC Terror Arreu de Catalunya and Catalunya Film Festivals, the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival renews its agreement with Ventana Sur to have a strong presence within its Blood Window section, through three actions of great relevance: the awarding of two prizes and the sponsorship of one of its finalist projects.
The relationship between both entities began in 2021, when TerrorMolins collaborated closely in the 1r Encuentro de Productoras Iberoamericanas organizado en Ventana Sur, intended as an event that continued the work carried out in the 1st Argentina-Spain Co-Production Forum organized together with the APIMA associations (Argentina ) and PAC (Spain). In 2022, the relationship was substantially created with the delivery of a “TerrorMolins Award” at Blood Window as well as the sponsorship of one of the finalist projects of said section. This year 2023, in addition to other actions that are being considered for the future, a new award related to the TerrorMolins Co-Production Forum has been added.
Ventana Sur is the most important Latin American film market in the world, organized in Buenos Aires (Argentina) by the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) and the Marché du Film of Cannes Film Festival. Blood Window is your specific promotion platform for Latin American filmmakers specialized in horror and fantasy genre films. Fant.Latina is its program for giving visibility to the work of Latin American filmmakers.
The prize will consist of selecting a feature film project from among all those that are presented in the finalist selection of Blood Window, including its Fant.Latina section, offering to attend the next edition of Terrormolins as a finalist project within its Jornadas Profesionales, where will be presented to the attending production companies. The award covers travel and lodging expenses for a representative of the project (director or producer). Depending on the budgetary possibilities and sanitary conditions, in online or presential mode.
The selection process will consist of a virtual meeting with each of the feature film projects presented as finalists in Blood Window, including its Fant.Latina section. The selection will be made based on factors such as the intrinsic quality of the project or its viability, among others, and will allow the project to display the TerrorMolins logo in its dossier and other packaging elements to make this recognition visible.
The Jornadas Profesionales are designed as a meeting point between emerging filmmakers of the horror and fantasy genre, and the film industry, with the purpose of offering a conducive space for the creation of networks, the exchange and improvement of knowledge, the maturation of projects and matchmaking.

TerrorMolins will select a feature film project from among all those that are presented in the Blood Window finalist selection, including its Fant.Latina section, which stands out especially for its potential as a possible Ibero-American co-production.
The prize will consist of the project being able to choose between one of the following two options, depending on what those project responsible consider most profitable depending on the actual stage of development of the project
- Option 1: Participate as a finalist project in the next edition of the TerrorMolins Co-Production Forum (Nov.2024)
- Option 2: Have “one to one” online meetings with producers attending the previous edition of the TerrorMolins Co-Production Forum (*)
(*) If the Award-winning project chooses “Option 2”, TerrorMolins will be in charge of sending its dossier to the production companies attending the previous edition of its Co-Production Forum. Production companies that show interest will be put in contact with the people responsible for the project.
The selection process may include a request for a virtual meeting with one of the feature film projects presented as finalists in Blood Window, including its Fant.Latina section. The TerrorMolins Co-Production Forum is a meeting created by and for independent producers with the aim of creating a network to share experience and knowledge, as well as generate co-productions. It is jointly co-organized by TerrorMolins and the associations of independent producers APIMA (Argentina) and PAC (Spain).
TerrorMolins will select a horror project from among all those received by Ventana Sur, to participate in the final selection of Blood Window. This selection will be related to factors such as the intrinsic quality of the project or its viability, and will enable the project to display the TerrorMolins logo in its dossier and other packaging elements to make this recognition visible, thus helping to increase its visibility and arouse greater interest in the industry.
