In order to celebrate the 40th edition of the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival, we keep on collaborating with the digital content platform FILMIN. We are meant to bring new contents and sections, doubling the successful offer of the last edition in which we reached an audience of more than 36,000 people.
The offer will be available exclusively in FILMIN from October 28th till November 21st, 2021 and will include the following sections:
VIDEODROME SECTION
The competitive feature film section is coming full of new horror titles which will reach your homes after having been present in the best genre festivals. You will be able to watch premieres too, so you’d better update your diaries. This section will include films spanning the multiple genre sides, origins and budgets and will let you explore a world of horror from your cosy sofa.
DOCUMENTARIES SECTION
A new non-competitive section that will bring to you some of the best horror documentaries of the last few years, some of them are going to be absolute premieres in our country.
REMEMBER SECTION
A new non-competitive feature film section which celebrates the 40 editions of the Festival. It will rerun some of the best films from the last ten years of the Festival. None of the films included is available in our country. Do not miss the chance to revisit great titles, most of which won awards in the Festival.
SHORT FILMS SECTION – 20th ANNIVERSARY
Non competitive session. Half of a lifetime. Short films have been the essence of the Festival for the last twenty editions out of forty years of history. A bunch of short films, from among the thousands that we have received, have left a deep imprint in the audience and the organisation. They confirm our existence as well as our insistence, and although not the whole bunch can be present, the handful that we show really belong to it. They just make a small sample. A small one, indeed, but intense.
GLOBUS SECTION
This non-competitive section was born in 2020 within the pandemic scene with a clear and firm ambition: to promote short films showing human diversity in all its multiple dimensions. The main objective of the Secció Globus is offering a different, unique or even alternative range of new sights to the genre as well as going beyond the classic concept of horror.
